Dover, the state capital
Dover is the capital of Delaware and offers a wide variety of activities for visitors—from the modern to the historical. View restored old homes, stop into the visitor center, visit museums or simply go shopping in Delaware’s sales tax-free retail districts. Each Tuesday and Friday, Spence’s Flea Market opens with something for everyone. Near Dover is an Amish community with additional shopping opportunities.

Dover Downs
For those who enjoy good meals, a little gambling, horse racing or, twice a year, a NASCAR Winston Cup Race, Dover Downs is the place to be.

Museums
The Air Mobility Command Museum, located in Hangar 1301 on Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware, houses some of the most unique and distinguished military flying machines of the past 50+ years.

Beaches

Millville Arts District
Enjoy and experience a southern New Jersey town steeped in the history of American glass making while strolling through its downtown Arts District. You'll find 20th and 19th century buildings and homes of rich architectural history.
Millville Army Airfield Museum
An extensive display of World War II memorabilia. Located within the airport, just across from the primary flight line (Big Sky Aviation), the museum is open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. This is a must see stop for all visitors. Come visit a P47 Fighter Base!
Wheaton Village
A unique attraction, offering an entire history of the southern New Jersey Glass Industry in a Colonial Village setting. The village is located at 1501 Glasstown Road in Millville. Phone 856.825.6800.
Cohanzik Zoo
Located in the city of Bridgeton just minutes from the airport, the zoo houses a collection of wild and domestic species of birds and animals and admission is FREE. The zoo is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
